KTM Duke 390

The KTM Duke 390 might just be my first bike. I went to have a look at GHC Greenroad Kuching which is the local KTM dealer.

The first logical thing to ask i guess is the price, it retails for MYR38,000. Loan repayments can vary according to your downpayment and loan tenure.

The bike looks great and is well made, you might think that 38k is a lot but the build quality makes up for it. The engine is a 1 cylinder 4 stroke water cooled engine making 43hp. The bike is agile as it weighs only 139kg.

For me, the selling point is the great supernaked sports look, the striking colour with hints of ktm orange and the modern looking electronic speedo. I think it would be hard to find a better bike for beginner riders.

I might post about how it rides soon, keep updated with my blog. Why not go to GHC in Greenroad Kuching to have a look at the bikes available?

Wavehouse Sentosa

I went to Wavehouse Sentosa a few weeks ago to try the flowrider. It is a clever surf simulation machine. The fee was SGD35 for an hour on weekdays and SGD40 an hour weekends. While waiting you can check out the billabong shop, have a drink at the bar or order some food. I had grilled mushrooms for a snack and it was good.

As for stand up flow riding, i got it on the third try because the trainers will teach you until you get "the flow".I had some skateboarding experience so that helped a lot. If you're a complete beginner, try the bodyboard first to get used to the speed.

Flow riding is great fun, and is a serious workout too. I recommend doing a lot of stretching and limbering up before riding as it can give you a massive sore on the neck and back if you don't

Overall i recommend this experience so make your way to wavehouse Sentosa
